LGBTQIA2S+

Why talk about it?

A young person’s sexual orientation and who they grow to love or feel attraction toward (if anyone) is not for parents or others to dictate. For LGBTQIA2S+ youth especially, familial rejection can lead to riskier behaviors and impacts to mental health and safety. It’s important that every young person has access to resources that reflect their identities and experiences, so they have the opportunity to thrive as their most authentic selves without fear or shame.
